LAUNCH OF ETHICA ITALIAN WINES INTO THE FIJI MARKET

July 13th, 2023

Lawhill Wines, part of the Lawhill Fiji group of companies, today announced that they have been appointed as the regional distributor of ETHICA Italian Wines.

The launch event was held at SAILS Restaurant, Port Denarau, and featured fine food that was paired with some outstanding Italian Wines from the ETHICA portfolio. The launch event was attended by several team members of ETHICA, including co-founder;Giovanni Oliva, who said:

“I, and Francesco Ganz, founded Ethica wines Asia Pacific in 2014, to offer a wide and complete range of integrated services, that includes commercial, logistic, communication and marketing tools, either to the local traders but also to the benefit of the beautiful families of winemakers, whom we have the pleasure to represent in the Region.”

“We saw in fact a great opportunity, given the fragmentation and complexity of the Italian wine industry, and in general a lack of awareness and knowledge about Italian wines, which instead are a fundamental part of the Italian culture and tradition, loved by so many people around the world.”

Lawhill Fiji’s Neil Underhill said that Lawhill was extremely proud that ETHICA had chosen Lawhill Wines to be their partner in the region.“Adding a fine range of Italian wines to our existing wine offering is the start of strategic re-definition of the LawhillWines portfolio. This market is ready for wines from the Old World, to be alongside wines predominantly from Australia, New Zealand, and the USA. To begin we have 33 wines available, and we plan to expand the range during the year.”

“We recently were fortunate to employ a highly qualified wine educator and professional sommelier Kelley Michael Schafer, who manages our wine division. Kelley’s knowledge of wines is only surpassed by his passion consuming them! Lots of our customers have used Kelley’s knowledge by conducting on-going wine training for staff”.

“I thank Giovanni for having confidence in the Lawhill Group, and for attending this launch, along with several ETHICA colleagues”.
